A few weeks ago, we reviewed one of the food items that debuted for Epcot’s Holidays Around the World: Promenade Refreshment’s Savory Seasonal Waffle. It wasn’t very good, at least not the one I ordered (I’ve heard some others have been executed better), but on a recent stroll around World Showcase, Matt and I stopped by so he could order the Toasted Marshmallow Cider. I also wanted to get pictures of all the other holiday menus and sample a few more items along the way. We grabbed a passport (which we didn’t have stamped along the way), and off we went on our tour.
Matt loves, loves, loves cider. Even though the day we visited the park was in the mid-80s in December, that crazy man still ordered a cup of hot cider. The toasted marshmallow flavor was very subtle, and more was an aftertaste than an up front flavor. It was pretty good, but a touch boring after a while. Maybe that was just the heat getting to us…
The Canada Beer Cart was offering Pecan Maple Bark,
but there was no sign advertising it or any on display and now there’s a sign out.
Off to the Rose & Crown Beer Stand we went, where Matt ordered… you guessed it! More cider! This one is spiked with whiskey. We’ll have the actual review later on this and other items in this post, but I wanted to get the pictures and prices to you for reference should you find yourself in Epcot over the next few weeks. 🙂
The American Adventure
There are a lot of great things to try and I can’t wait to share my thoughts on the items we ordered. I’ll likely be spending some more time at Epcot while Holidays Around the World continues, so I’ll be sure to update on any more items we might order!
Are you going to be at Epcot during the holidays? If you were in the World Showcase, which items would you like to try? Let us know!
