2014 FIFA World Cup at The Odyssey

The 204 FIFA World Cup is in full swing, and those of you looking to get out of the heat while at Epcot are in luck!

The Odyssey has been set up as a viewing area for the games. Apart from a seating area, some light food offering and beverages are available for purchase.

A Turkey and Monterey Jack on Ciabatta sandwich and Southwestern Wrap are the heartier options available, with snacks such as pretzels, popcorn, nuts and potato chips are also being sold. Beer enthusiasts will find Racer 5, Safari Amber, and Florida Lager. It appears the Sam Adams Summer Ale tap was missing during our visit.

While we didn’t stick around to watch the games or sample the sandwich or wrap, this is a nice little set up for guests who are interested in watching the World Cup while on their vacation. There seeing to be a good number of guests milling around as well. I’m curious to see if they use the venue for more major sporting events in the future (though I can just imagine this turning into a “premium” – read: $ hard $ ticket $ – experience). Only time will tell, but in the meantime, enjoy it if you’re interested along with fellow soccer fans!

  1. As a Disney World and World Cup fanatic, this would be heaven for me.
    Wish I was there.

  2. I think it’s a really nice use for the space, and I’m glad guests are enjoying it. Sorry you’re missing out, but I’m sure you have a great place to watch!
