Disneyland Resort will be serving up some Valentine’s Day specials, the Disney Parks Blog reports. Disneyland park’s Stage Door Cafe will feature Red Velvet Funnel Cakes (below), and River Bell Terrace will serve Red Velvet Pancakes at breakfast.
During lunch and dinner, Plaza Inn will feature pan-seared salmon with rice pilaf, seasonal vegetables, and a Chardonnay dill cream sauce. Blue Bayou Restaurant will offer a “Sweet Heat Duet”: bacon-wrapped filet mignon and halibut on top of tomato croutons with sautéed baby spinach and roasted potatoes, paired with a rich Chardonnay dill, Cognac peppercorn and café au lait sauce.
Carnation Café will offer Surf and Turf (above) with sirloin, shrimp, mashed potatoes, and sautéed broccoli with a sun-dried tomato butter and herb beurre blanc sauce. Café Orleans will feature angel hair pasta with sautéed shrimp, zucchini, and yellow squash tossed with a cream shrimp fumé.
At California Adventure, Schmoozies will be serving a cherry-apple smoothie, while Valentine sugar cookies will be sold at Pacific Wharf Cafe. Clarabelle’s will feature a Valentine’s Day Sundae. During dinner, Wine Country Trattoria will offer a three-course menu with a choice of lobster or beef tenderloin with shrimp. Alfresco Tasting Terrace & Cove Bar will have a dessert sampler featuring a vanilla fruit tart, a raspberry macaroon, and tiramisu served in flight glasses with a sparkling wine pairing. Boudin Bakery will be selling freshly baked heart and teddy bear-shaped breads at Pacific Wharf Café, Mortimer’s Market, and the Boudin Bread Cart.
Steakhouse 55 and The Lounge at Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel and Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are featuring prix-fixe menus. Steakhouse 55 will serve renditions of Maine lobster bisque, surf and turf with a filet mignon and bacon-wrapped jumbo prawn, and a White Chocolate Baked Alaska for dessert (above). Napa Rose menu will be “inspired by St. Valentine,” and offer an optional wine pairing, but details have not been released.
