New Beverages & Chef Demos for the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

The Disney Parks Blog has shared some new information for the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival! They’ve shared a peek of some of the new beverages, including a Key Lime Sparkling Wine from Florida Orange Groves at Florida Fresh Outdoor Kitchen, as well as Ace Pineapple Hard Cider and Sparkling Pineapple Wine at Pineapple Promenade. Craft Cocktails include the La Tizana cocktail at Botanas Botánico and an Urban Mary at Urban Farm Eats.

Marianne Hunnel, content development manager and beverage expert, notes, “La Tizana is a Venezuelan-influenced fruit punch made with orange juice, lime juice, banana puree, grenadine and garnished with a tropical fruit medley of diced pineapple, mango, strawberries and oranges.” Guests 21+ can add a splash of RHUM Orange liqueur from Santa Teresa, Venezuela.

She also describes the Urban Mary as, “a tomato beverage made with spicy tomato juice, lime juice and Worcestershire sauce, garnished with a pickled green bean and micro greens.” This time, a shot of vodka is an option. Beer drinkers will find new craft additions such as Maple Bacon Stout, currently brewing at Shipyard Brewing Company in Clearwater, FL. It will be released on the opening day of the festival. It will be available at The Smokehouse: Barbecue and Brews.

At Fleur De Lys in France, adult guests can enjoy grown-up “Ice Pop”  featuring Peach Iced Tea and Grand Marnier Peach Raspberry – a limited-release spirit – and a splash of vodka. Eric Weistroffer, general manager of Chefs de France, says “It’s frozen, but not solid, so it just melts in your mouth – refreshing!”

In addition to the new food and beverage option, this year will be introducing free 15-minute cooking demonstrations at 3 p.m. each Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the festival. This gives you a chance to meet a Disney chef and watch them prepare a dish. Some of the items to be featured during the demos include 2014’s Piggylicious Bacon Cupcake from The Smokehouse, the Ghost Pepper-dusted Tilapia from Urban Farm Eats, and White Corn Arepas. The demonstrations will be hosted at Port of Entry shop at the entrance to World Showcase.
