I’m not typically a big pin collector, but the Disney Parks Blog released some photos of pins that are coming to the parks this month, and there are some cool food ones involved (although those aren’t necessarily what caught my eye!). The Disney Villains necktie pins will be available on both coasts, but Disneyland will also get a Mickey Mouse-shaped collection featuring park Food Icons: the Dole Whip, Cotton Candy, Popcorn, Mickey Pretzel, and Churros. The Mickey Pretzel will also be featured as a Chaser Pin.
Here on the East Coast, our food pins feature Character Apples, decorated as Sorcerer Mickey, Olaf, Minnie Mouse, Maleficent, a Rainbow, and Goofy. The Chaser Pin will feature Olaf.
Of course, the pins that really caught my eye are those EPCOT Center logos: Horizons, The Living Seas, The Land, Journey Into Imagination and CommuniCore. You can identify these pins by the small Mickey icon on the pin, and the back has the text “Hidden Mickey Pin” along with the number of pins in the collection (for example, 1 of 5). The pins are randomly distributed to Cast Members to trade with guests, so keep an eye out! Disney asks that guests only trade a maximum of two pins, per cast member, per day.
