As the fall opening date quickly approaches, the Disney Parks Blog has released more information regarding Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. The bar will have an aviation theme with a waterfront location, and will feature food and drinks inspired by the pilot’s world travels.

The 150-seat lounge will be decorated with salvaged equipment, spare airplane parts, and mementos, while the outdoor seating will feature his old steamboat, Reggie. The storyline for the space is that “Jock made a home at this waterfront property in the 1940s after discovering this charming little town while flying Indiana Jones over the Sunshine State in search of the elusive Fountain of Youth in 1938. As a member of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers, Jock often welcomed his globetrotting friends to his hangar for a drink and fun times.”

Beer, wine and cocktails will be served, including Reggie’s Revenge and The Fountain of Youth featuring Florida vodkas, Hovito Mojito and The Bitter Barkeep with Peruvian Pisco, Anything Goes with an Asian spirit that packs a little heat, The Aviator’s Flight and The Scottish Professor, and the Cool-headed Monkey with African spirits.

Small plates will also be served. Dr. Elsa’s She-Deviled Eggs (above) are brined in beet juice and feature a lump crab filling. “Good” Dates (seen in the background above) are goat cheese-stuffed dates with Marcona almonds and pickled veggies. The Snack of Ra is a taste of Africa, with salads and dips served with injera and naan crisps. Tanis Tacos are filled with falafel, shredded lettuce, and cucumber-tomato salad. The Air Pirates Everything Pretzels (below) are served with house-made mustard and beer-cheese fondue.

Those looking for something a bit more substantial can enjoy the Rolling Boulder Sliders (above): three spiced meatballs on mini-buns with yogurt sauce. Brody Brats are grilled bratwurst with mustard and pickled cabbage. The chicken wings – “Lao Che’s Revenge” – are spicy Asian wings. Finally, the “Squid! Why’d It Have to Be Squid” (below) is a fried calamari flatbread with spicy harissa.

  1. Wish the dates were wrapped in bacon.
Hopefully they change up the menu once in awhile not a lot that looks like something I would eat. 😦

  2. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see changes over time. Keep or slightly modify the popular stuff, tweak or swap the less popular stuff, have seasonal offerings… Many menus get stagnant, but I’ve seen a lot of improvement on that over the years on property. Doesn’t mean that a favorite is necessarily safe in the long term, however. I’m interested to see how Jock’s progresses! 🙂

  3. Yay – happy to see some meatless options on the menu – falafel tacos sound awesome!
