When Harambe Market opened a few months ago, there was an item on the menu that sounded interesting and I wanted to try, but we were sampling so many other foods, we knew we wouldn’t have any room: the African Milk Tart. You can also find them at the Creature Comforts Starbucks, which is where I picked mine up.
It is described as Coconut Custard in a Chocolate Shell dusted with Sugar and Five Spice Powder, drizzled with Dark Chocolate Ganache. If you’ve been reading the blog a while, you are probably aware that I’m not big on sweets or chocolate, but the promise of coconut certainly gets my attention.
We may just be a few days into August, but the holidays will be here before we know it, and if you’re spending your time at WDW, you definitely want to start making your dining reservations if you haven’t already.
Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom
For Thanksgiving, you can find the classic turkey dinner served family-style at Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom.
Rose & Crown in the UK pavilion
Over in Epcot, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot serves traditional Norwegian meatballs and pan-seared salmon at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in addition to the traditional offerings. Special Thanksgiving menus during lunch and dinner seatings will also be served at Biergarten Restaurant, Coral Reef Restaurant, Le Cellier Steakhouse, Tutto Itlalia Ristorante, Restaurant Marrakesh, Rose & Crown Dining Room, and Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria, as well as quick service location Sunshine Seasons in The Land pavilion.

While on my way out of a recent trip to Animal Kingdom, I exited through Rainforest Cafe. I made a quick stop for lunch and kept it simple by ordering their Chicken Tenders – golden fried chicken tenders served with your choice of Buffalo sauce and blue cheese dressing or BBQ sauce and ranch dressing. I opted for the latter, but it was just served with BBQ (which was fine by me).
