So some interesting news has been released on the Disney Parks Blog regarding entertainment in World Showcase. You can visit the above link for the full article, but some highlights and my initial reactions to the news:
Over the next several months:
- Traditional Berber music and dance troupe in Morocco
- A corps of dynamic flag-waving performers in Italy
- A thrilling lumberjack-inspired show in Canada
- A Celtic folk music ensemble at the United Kingdom
- And more
Okay, new stuff is always fun. But in order to make way for the new, there’s the whole “out with the old” part:
Say farewell to:
- Mo’Rockin’
- Off Kilter
- Spirit of America Fife & Drum Corps
- World Showcase Players
I know Mo’Rockin’ wasn’t exactly the biggest draw, but I did enjoy them. Off Kilter is surprising, and I’ll miss jumping between them and British Revolution grabbing beers in between performances. Hopefully the members will be part of the Celtic folk music ensemble. Matt will be livid about losing Spirit of America Fife & Drum Corps once he reads the email I sent. And I will miss the World Showcase Players; I had a great time playing the witch that one time, and still have my button.
According to the Parks Blog: “More details will be shared, as they become available, about the timing of certain transitions, as well as each of the exciting new entertainment additions coming to World Showcase.”
