With the expansion of California Adventure underway, the first phase is about to open. The Disney Parks Blog is reporting that the new Grizzly Peak Airfield will be host to Smokejumpers Grill, which will open March 20. Replacing Taste Pilot’s Grill, the quick service restaurant is inspired by the firefighters who fight the wildfires that catch in the California forests. An updated menu will feature a Bacon Cheddar Burger, a Grilled Chicken & Jack Sandwich, and a Chili Cheeseburger.

The Grizzly Peak expansion will also showcase new building exteriors, landscaping, and more to the former area known as Condor Flats. Pine trees will provide shade. The rest of the area will open later this spring, and Soarin’ Over California will reopen with updates to the screen and projection system.
